Before graduation

Remember these before you graduate:

PCDP discussion of the final stage: Before graduation, you will have a PCDP discussion with your personal coach. You update your career plan and check your accumulated achievements. All assignments must be registered in Wilma 2 weeks before the graduation date. Make sure that for Wilma you use a personal email address that is active, not a school email address.
Answer the feedback survey! Student feedback is very important to us. You will receive a feedback link in your email after having a PCDP conversation with your personal coach. The sender of the message is Amis-palaute-responsfeedback (no-reply). The subject of the message is Palautetta oppilaitokselle -Respons till läroanstalten -Feedback to educational institution. If you don’t receive the survey, check your spam folder. You can also access the survey at https://opintopolku.fi/ehoks/ (you need bank credentials or a mobile certificate to log in). If you are unable to answer, please notify wilma@riveria.fi. Only students in degree education, (not TUVA students) answer the feedback survey.
Apply for a qualification certificate in Wilma using the certificate application form. Choose whether you pick up the certificate at the study office, at the graduation party on the day of graduation, or whether the certificate is mailed to your home address. If your home address is no longer the same than your address registered in Wilma, inform the study office of your new address opintotoimisto@riveria.fi. The certificate will only be handed over after the application has been received.
You can register for the graduation party, which is organized 1-2 times a year.
You can save the qualification certificate from Wilma electronically after the graduation date. This option is available for one week from the graduation date. Certificates

Whenever your studies end, you will receive a certificate showing all the studies you completed during the training. Hold on to the certificate, since you will need it many times during your career!

Qualification certificate

Once you have completed all the qualification units included in the qualification, you will receive a qualification certificate. You will also receive a transcript of studies, which describes in more detail the content and duration of the completed qualification. Qualification certificates are handed out on graduation days twice a month.

Certificate of completed qualification units

You will receive a certificate of completed qualification units if your goal was to complete a part or parts of a qualification. You will also receive a transcript of studies, which details the content and duration of the completed qualification.

Certificate of completed education parts or studies (TUVA)

In the TUVA training, you get a certificate for the parts or studies you completed.

Study certificates and transcripts during studies

You can pick up the printouts you need from the study office or order them to your home address.

If you withdraw in the middle of your studies and you have already received an evaluation of one or more parts of the degree, you will be mailed a certificate of the completed parts, in addition to the withdrawal certificate. Otherwise you will receive a transcript.

You can also save the certificate and transcript electronically for yourself in Wilma. You can find the certificate and attachments for one week from the date of resignation. After that, your login will no longer work.

Graduation party

Riveria’s graduation parties are organized in all educational units twice a year. The spring celebration takes place at the turn of May and June. The autumn celebration takes place in the second half of December. Both full and partial degree students can register for the party.

You can get information about additional events from your personal coach.

The upcoming graduation celebrations will be held on Thursday 19 December 2024, and Wednesday 28 May 2025.

If you want to participate in the joint graduation party, register for the event with Wilma’s certificate application or this form (in Finnish).

Please remember to save the personal and contact information of the publication permit on the form in Wilma! We deliver the names of all graduates to the media for publication, e.g. in newspapers. On Riveria website we publish the names of all graduate students who have given permission.

Ordering a lost certificate from the archive

Students who have graduated from Riveria or who have interrupted their studies can order a certified copy of the original qualification certificate and its attachments.

Copying of the certificates is subject to a fee, and copies of the certificates will only be sent after payment has been made. The certificates are sent by letter and/or encrypted e-mail. After sending the certificate request, wait for an e-mail with the instructions and then proceed with the payment.

Note! Those who graduated from vocational training in 2018 or later can share their performance data via Opintopolku free of charge. Go to the My Study Path service

The certified copy of the qualification certificate, the related transcript and any other attachments from the archive copy costs:

10 euros delivered to email or picked up
15 euros delivered both to e-mail and mailed to your home

An identity card/power of attorney must be presented when picking up the certificate. Certificates are free of charge for those applying to Riveria and studying at Riveria.
