Healthy lifestyle

Riveria encourages healthy lifestyles and supports non-smoking and abstinence. All facilities at Riveria, including dormitories and grounds, are completely alcohol-free and smoke-free.

Prohibition on the use of intoxicants

Smoking, snuffing, using nicotine pouches and electronic cigarettes is strictly prohibited in the Riveria area. This prohibition also applies to the preparation of tobacco products on the premises of the educational institution. The use of intoxicants is also prohibited during periods of working life, study trips and visits.

Consequences of substance use

An intoxicated student is immediately removed from the premises of the educational institution. Intoxication will result in disciplinary action. In the case of minors, the use of substances is reported to guardians and child protection authorities.

If you need help or advice in substance abuse matters, you can confidentially turn to a health nurse or a curator.

The training organizer has the right to ask the student for a drug test certificate if there is reason to suspect that the student:

The drug test certificate is given by a healthcare professional, and it must show whether the student has used drugs for intoxicating purposes. The certificate must be submitted within the deadline, and the student’s guardian must be informed of its demand. There are no costs for the student for drug testing.
